羅世宏是國立中正大學傳播系教授，長期研究媒體制度、新聞業危機、平台治理，長期投入媒體改革、事實查核與民主公共傳播實踐。

羅世宏在研究媒體的同時，也持續試圖改變它。

過去二十多年來，他在國立中正大學傳播系任教，研究新聞業如何在數位平台的衝擊下求存，曾與馮建三等人共同創辦媒體改造學社（媒改社），與胡元輝等人共同創辦 weReport 調查報導公眾委製平台。此外，他曾擔任台灣媒體觀察教育基金會董事長（2019–2024）、台灣事實查核中心董事（2020–2026）及董事長（2022–2026）。學者與行動者的雙重身份，貫穿他迄今的學術生涯。

他的研究核心：當數位平台重組傳播生態、民主政治陷入資訊危機，新聞業能否存續？公共政策應當如何回應？這個問題在他的期刊論文、政策諮詢與公共評論中反覆出現，以不同形式尋找答案。

近年研究聚焦於和平新聞學、氣候新聞學、事實查核機制在民主選舉中的角色、平台問責的跨國政策比較，以及人工智慧對傳播生態的結構性影響。

English Profile

Shih-Hung Lo is Professor of Communication at National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. His research focuses on media institutions, journalism crisis, platform governance, fact-checking, media reform, and the transformation of public communication in the age of AI.

Alongside his academic work, he has long been involved in public media reform and civic communication initiatives in Taiwan. He co-founded the Media Reform Coalition and the weReport investigative journalism platform, and served as Board Chair of the Taiwan FactCheck Center from 2022 to 2026.

His current work examines how democratic societies can rebuild public knowledge and social trust under the pressures of platformization, information disorder, and generative AI.
